Your Sunrun battery is designed to detect outages instantly. If the grid fails, whether it’s during the day or the middle of the night, the backup battery system seamlessly engages.

During times of extreme energy demand on the grid (like a summer heatwave), the Sunrun battery will share excess energy to help stabilize the grid. In exchange for helping stabilize the local grid, you receive bill credits on your monthly Sunrun statement.*
