Homeowners with solar may be able to claim federal and state/local tax incentives. Work with your tax advisor to understand what is available to you. Sunrun cannot offer tax advice, but we can direct you to where to find supporting documentation.
Start by asking your tax advisor what information they need to assist you with claiming the residential clean energy credit on Form 5695. They may ask you to provide them with documentation supporting your purchase and installation.
The following documents can be found in your account on the Sunrun App or website:
Customer Agreement
Customer Change Order Cover Sheet (if applicable)
NEM Agreement
Proof of Net Energy Metering and/or Permission to Operate

4. Date of Installation Completion
An email is sent to customers when the installation is complete
